HOW TO SEAM THREAD THRU LINING
For wider shades or to
use smaller cuts economically the seams in Thread Thru Lining can
be very inconspicuous. Iron onto the loop side of one piece of lining,
5.4122 3/8” Kwik bond from top to bottom, along the outside
edge of the last vertical row of loops. Cut just barely through
the 3/8” bonding tape to remove all
excess lining, and peel off the silicone paper from the tape.
On the second piece of lining cut off the last row of loops at their
edge. Lay this piece of lining, loop side up, over the coated edge
of the first piece of lining. Make sure it is from top to bottom,
close and parallel to the vertical row of loops of the coated piece
of lining and the horizontal line of loops in both pieces match.
Since the Kwik bond tape prevents fraying, this makes a seam with
the
Smallest possible bulk.
For a perfect folding
memory of the shade, raise the shade, dress and steam it, especially
the side hems and seams (if any). Let the shade cool down before
you lower it. |
